With 7 Billion people on the planet and growing, finite resources dwindling, renewable resource foundations being undermind to limit their regeneration, and wallowing in the midst of the 6th mass extinction, of which, is the biggest one yet and the only one caused by humanity, it’s time to get our head out of the sand and recognize that it’s time to evolve. This is where our Re-Generation Series comes in (see link to Re-Generation under “Information” to the left to learn more or to join in our bi-weekly discussions)

Requiem for a Civilization: Remnants of the Anasazi Culture at Chaco Canyon. “Collapse” by Jared Diamond is a great book about how societies choose to succeed or fail, which is fundamentally connected to their relationship with the land
It’s time to develop new operating models for planet earth. It’s time to create a Permanent Culture as Bill Mollison proposed, or more appropriately a Regenerative culture. In order to achieve this we must look at all our institutions and ask, do they help us put back more than we take, do they teach us how to put back more than we take? If the answer is “no” then its time to evolve them. This is IMPERATIVE if we want to have a peaceful, abundant and regenerative future. This means that we must call into question all of our political, economic, cultural, societal, and religious institutions, understand their roots, understand their goals and ask ourselves “Will this teach every human being and empower every human being, current and future generations, to create regenerative systems that leave enough abundance for the next 7 generations of all life to continue to regenerate?” This is is what OM Valley Evolution will explore. Taking the elements of Permaculture, and

looking into the structures of past Cultures that kept them regenerative (many that Bill Mollison identified from his travels) while exploring our current failings that come with a finite culture and begin to vision what they could be replaced with to create a regenerative culture.
We hope that you will enjoy these writings, contemplate them and begin to explore what a regenerative life for you, your family, your community, your bioregion, and our planet would look like. The

time is now, the writing is on the wall, and I’m sorry to say but we’re all going to die someday, so we might as well use this life and our remaining ecological capital to make a brighter regenerative future for all subsequent generations of life on this planet. After all, even the bible says we are created in the image and likeness of the creator, so lets get creatin yo’ and evolve this planet!
